FAQ

Do you provide monitoring? We can provide you with U.L. approved 24 hour central station monitoring. We monitor all makes and models of fire alarm equipment and can link our service department to respond to alarm and troubles anytime they occur if desired.

Is your equipment proprietary? Our main equipment line is that of Edwards Systems Technologies (EST) which is recognized as one of the leading manufacturers of Life Safety Equipment in the world. As a recognized Strategic Partner for EST, we have met a rigorous set of standards to achieve this partnership. As we will always strive to be your sole fire alarm service provider we understand that through circumstance or in some cases, owner preference, you may call for someone else to be that provider. EST has in this service area 5 additional Strategic Partners that have met the same requirements.

How do I inquire about employment opportunities? You can download a copy of our application and either bring it to our office or fax a copy to us at 214.553.6130. Please understand that you will be required to take a drug test, have no criminal record and have maintained a good driving record to be interviewed.

Where is your service area? We do the majority of our business in the North Texas region, however, under certain circumstances we can expand our area of coverage to meet specific customer requirements.

Do you monitor and service existing systems? We can monitor all makes and models of fire alarm equipment through our U.L. approved central monitoring station. Our technicians are trained on a variety of manufacturers and can in most cases meet all your service needs. Contact our or call us at 214.553.6120.

Can you provide me with references? We can provide, at your request, a complete list of projects and service customers that will encompass some of the largest and most sensitive facilities in the area.

Do you use subcontractors? DSS Fire, Inc. uses only in-house personnel for all of our service and installations. This allows us to control the quality of our service and the response time needed to meet challenging deadlines.

How long have you been in business? DSS Fire, Inc. became a division of Dallas Security Systems specializing in fire alarm services in 1984. We incorporated into a separate entity in 1986, and have been EST Strategic Partners since 2002.

What is your bonding capacity? DSS Fire, Inc. has the financial stability along with tenured time in business to meet almost any bond request. Please ask your DSS Fire, Inc. representative for further details.

Are you insured? DSS Fire, Inc. carries one of the highest liability insurance policies in the industry. We carry a 5 million dollar base liability policy and have included in our coverage most if not all the current verbiage the industry requires today.
